Nephritis
1- Defination and causes :
It is infilammation of the kidneys.
Caused by bacterial infection,mineral irritant or poisoning,excessive skin damage,trauma of the .kidney,cold,sever gastroentritis and /or constipation
2-Clinical findings
Oliguria and increase of albumim content in the urine .The animal stands with arched back and stiffness in gait,tenderness and pain on manipulation of the kidney ,fever in case of infectious agent.colic in equine and vomiting in dogs.When both kidney are affected uremia and coma may found.In late stage edema appears in the lower part of the chest, abdomen and legs
3-Diagnosis
Case history,clinical signs,albuminuria and with the prescence of epithelial tissue in the urine.
4-Line of treatment
- broad spectrum antibiotic
- Urinary antiseptic
- Chande urine pH
- Apply diuretics
- Apply sedative
